

Kingfisher Red Airlines earlier known as Air Deccan or Simplifly Deccan is a low-cost airline and is a subsidiary of Kingfisher Airlines. Air Deccan, now Kingfisher Red was established in the year 2003 with the aim to enable every Indian citizen to fly was taken over by United Beverages Group chief Dr. Vijay Mallya and became Kingfisher Red on August 29, 2008. With the takeover, the blue signature colour of erstwhile Simplifly Deccan is now Red. Kingfisher Red airline now operates under the flight code 'IT' instead of the earlier 'DN' code. Currently, Kingfisher Red airline serves as the low cost flight carrier of the UB Group and the level of service offered will be improved gradually.
